The young people who will compete in WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 are “the best of the best.” They have already proved their exceptional talents, winning selection to the teams of the 77 WorldSkills Member countries and regions through qualifying skills competitions.
With the exception of four skills with an upper age limit of 25, Competitors will be not be older than 22 in the year of the Competition.
In Abu Dhabi they will compete in around 51 skills, hoping to take home gold, silver, or bronze or even the coveted Albert Vidal Award, which is given to the Competitor with the highest overall points.
To reach the level of skills required to compete in a WorldSkills Competition takes several years of training and dedication. But the best time to start is now.
